Ladurée at Shanghai Village: Parisian Chic in Shanghai

#shanghai I never thought I'd be drinking coffee at Ladurée in Shanghai, but here I am! It's not a full-fledged restaurant, but an outdoor counter with a seating area—and you know what? I liked it even more than if it had been an indoor dining room. Ladurée is located right in Shanghai Village. They have a kiosk where you order, and next to it are these adorable outdoor chairs—soft, comfortable, in beige and pastel colors. You sit, watch the people passing by, and enjoy the atmosphere. Very European! Prices (yes, not cheap, but worth it): - Macaroons – from ¥30 each - Coffee – from ¥33 - Pastries – from ¥58 For Shanghai, this is premium, but considering it's Ladurée, the prices are reasonable. In Paris, it would be more expensive, considering the euro. I had a coconut latte (¥38) and two macarons: rose and salted caramel. The coffee was served in a signature cup and saucer, beautifully. The coffee itself is excellent – ​​not bitter, with a thick foam. The macarons... oh my god, they were love! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The rose is my favorite – rich, not too cloying. That's what really made me fall in love with this place – the atmosphere! You sit in this cozy chair, surrounded by the beautiful architecture of Shanghai Village, a fountain murmuring nearby, and the weather is perfect. Perfect for a break after shopping or just to relax with a book or phone. The photos are gorgeous, by the way – this whole aesthetic setup just begs to be captured.
