Shanghai Botanical Garden Snapshot

Shanghai Botanical Garden is located in the southern part of downtown Shanghai, at 1111 Longwu Road. Its predecessor was the Longhua Nursery, established in 1974 and opened in 1978, covering an area of 81.86 hectares. The garden contains 24 specialized sections, with over 3,500 plant species and more than 6,000 varieties collected. It is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a popular science education base, hosting various flower exhibitions and science popularization activities throughout the year, with free admission.
