Raindrop Forest Installation Debuts at Fuxing Park

Shanghai's Fuxing Park, a century-old French-style garden, has recently gone viral on social media due to a unique installation. Under the wisteria trellis on the west side of the park, 600 silver mandala wind chimes hang like raindrops, forming a 30-meter-long "Frozen Rain Corridor." This installation, named "Rain," was donated by the Design School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University as a romantic surprise for Shanghai's autumn. The raindrops change with the seasons—like dew in spring and summer, rain in autumn, and crystals in winter—offering visitors a virtual and real-time frozen moment experience. Fuxing Park is the only fully preserved French garden in Shanghai, designed in 1909 by a French horticulturist. The central fountain and felt flower beds are laid out with geometric lines, making every snapshot a vintage masterpiece; the southwest artificial hill area features winding paths and a lotus pond with an octagonal pavilion resembling an ink painting. From now until November 25, besides the "Rain" installation, there are more than ten art pieces created by young designers around Fuxing Park, including "Forest Time," "Embrace," and "Whispering Wind."
