You’ve got the old-school European style buildings on one side and this futuristic sci-fi skyline across the river, seriously, it’s like time travel in 10 steps. Total photo-op central, especially at night when everything lights up like a movie set. Super chill to walk around, especially in the evening. There’s always a breeze coming off the Huangpu River, people taking selfies, couples strolling, street musicians doing their thing, it just has that relaxed, big city but still vibey feel. If you’re into history, the architecture here is chef’s kiss. If you’re into just hanging out and soaking in the view with a bubble tea in hand, also perfect. There are cafes and rooftop bars nearby too if you wanna take the whole thing in with a drink. It does get crowded, but it kinda adds to the atmosphere. You’re not alone in thinking it’s cool, everyone else is there for the same reason. The Bund is a must, no question.
