Shanghai Disneyland on a Rainy Day: Hit All the Popular Rides

Think it’s going to be sad? Rain at Disney isn’t always a bad thing because… if you play it right, rain is a golden opportunity for adventure seekers!!

🌧️ First: Get ready
 • Bring a clear umbrella (it must be clear) + a full-body raincoat
 • Waterproof shoes or sneakers ready for action
 • The Shanghai Disneyland app is very important! Check ride wait times in real-time (keep checking constantly) 
 • Portable fan 
 • Aromatherapy inhaler (highly recommended, a must-have, life gets so much better while waiting in crowded lines) 
 • Wet/dry tissues
 • Snacks, various breads to eat while waiting in line 
Once you’re ready, let’s get started 
We arrived at Disney at 8:30 AM, wandered around until we got into the park at 9:30 AM. We recommend hitting the rides in this order:
1.🦊Zootopia is a must-visit zone. Start with the ride Zootopia: Hot Pursuit 🐰 Then go take photos around the park, it’s super cute everywhere but keep an eye on the time (sign says 40 minutes wait, actual wait 30 minutes) 
2.🎢Seven Dwarfs Mine Train This ride is a must. If you see a wait time of 60-90 minutes, get in line right away. Don’t turn off to other rides first because the queue moves slowly and the longer you wait, the longer the wait gets. Be patient and ride it first (sign says 90 minutes wait, actual wait 80 minutes) 
3.🏴☠️Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure You have to ride this one, it’s amazing (sign says 60 minutes wait, actual wait only 30 minutes) 
The queue moves fast because the ride holds many people. After that, we took a break to eat inside the park (we finished around 1:00 PM) and then went to take photos with the castle 
4.🚠Soaring Over the Horizon A spectacular 4D ride. Personally, I was a bit nervous at the start but loved it by the middle, the vibe was great (sign says 60 minutes wait, actual wait 40 minutes) 
5. 🚀 TRON Lightcycle Power Run A futuristic indoor high-speed ride. We recommend saving this for last because it’s so immersive you’ll lose yourself, but it’s fun and addictive (wait 90 minutes, finished Tron around 5:00 PM)

The rest of the time we just strolled around leisurely, even went back to Zootopia for evening photos 
🎆🎇On the day we went, there were fireworks twice at 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM, so check the times carefully (some days only have one show) 
Overall, it was super fun and enjoyable. Rain wasn’t a problem, and there were slightly fewer people than usual. Give it a try! 😊
