Compared to Huangpu District, Xuhui District, where Wukang Building is located, is an area with a stronger local vibe. When you come to Shanghai, spend half a day here to experience the slow pace of the city. Built in 1924, Wukang Building was originally named Normandy Apartments. This exterior corridor-style building was selected as an outstanding historical building in Shanghai in 1994 and has always been a popular tourist spot. Knowing the power of the bustling crowds, we chose to come at 7 a.m. to enjoy nearly an hour of tranquility, then have breakfast nearby and take a walk along Wukang Road and Middle Huaihai Road.
