Flowing Light & Flowing Shadows

🐢 In this post, I didn’t share the two exhibitions because I saw them quite late, close to the end, and was worried I couldn’t provide more references for everyone. But while organizing the photo album, I realized I still really like them. · 🐢 The "UMBAU · Reconstruction, Continuous Transformation" at Jiushi Art Salon focuses on reconstruction, sharing the role of architectural reconstruction in sustainable urban development. This perspective and approach are quite rare. Among the 14 reconstruction projects by gmp on display, besides the exquisite models, I especially like their drawings, with a clear yet textured red and black main color scheme. · 🐢 The "Tracing Time and Flowing Shadows" at Wan Shang Hui Pavilion allowed me to find fleeting glimpses within the architecture. I stood quietly between the columns for a long time, feeling the green marble, the serene shadows of Buddha statues, the fluttering garments, the materials and silhouettes, and the subtle currents flowing through the folds. · 🐢 Photos 17 and 18 are from Armin Linke’s "Flowing Light," which I also included in this post. It is the only one of the three exhibitions still ongoing, running until May 24th, located on the 2nd floor at 27 Huqiu Road, open Tuesday to Saturday: 11 AM to 7 PM.
