This trip to Shanghai was a feast for both the atmosphere and the food. Walking around the city, you can feel the vibrancy of the people. The streets are clean, with a mix of modern buildings and charming old corners. During the stroll, I stopped by several milk tea and fruit tea shops. The flavors were diverse, ranging from classic to fruity, and incredibly refreshing. The fruit tea, especially, was packed with fresh fruits in every glass—cool and delightful without being overly sweet. In the evening, I indulged in a spicy mala hotpot buffet. The soup was perfectly spicy and numbing, with options for both spicy and non-spicy broths. The ingredients were fresh, and you could order unlimited amounts of meat, vegetables, mushrooms, and snacks. You could even customize your dipping sauce to your liking. The highlight was dipping thinly sliced meat into the hot mala broth and following it up with a cold fruit juice. In just one day, I managed to eat, explore, and immerse myself in the culture. Shanghai is truly a city for food lovers and those who enjoy leisurely walks.
