Stepping into the Relics Park of Yangshupu Power Plant is like traveling through a time tunnel, where a century of industrial memories intertwines with the new vitality of the riverside. Once the "cradle of China's electric power industry," it has now been transformed into a public space integrating ecology, art, and history. Walking along the river, the industrial relics in the dock area are eye-catching. The rusty jib cranes stand quietly on the riverbank. They used to be "steel giants" for coal loading and unloading, but now they have become sculpture-like landscapes, contrasting with the waves of the Huangpu River. The winding coal conveying trestle is painted azure blue, and the forsythia suspensa planted with soil sways in the wind. The former coal conveyor belt has been transformed into an aerial corridor for citizens to stroll. The architectural transformation in the park can be described as ingenious. The two water purification tank foundation pits have been transformed into "ecological twin flowers": one is a rain garden, with miscanthus sinensis swaying and pebbles paving the bottom, which can regulate and store precipitation in the rainy season, combining function and wildness; the other is transformed into a water purification cafe, with a dome split cone arch design to introduce skylight. Looking up, you can see the 105m-high chimney piercing into the sky, perfectly integrating industrial symbols and leisure space.
