Take a photo around Shanghai, take a walk around the Zhujiajiao Ancient Town Scenic Area! Many friends will equate Shanghai with modern cities. In fact, not to mention that more than an hour's drive from the city center, there is an antique paradise - Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, especially suitable for walking in the evening. 🌤️ Chu Family Corner highlights first look Zhujiajiao is a typical water town in the south of the Yangtze River, and the streets and alleys of the ancient town under the evening glow have a sense of tranquility and poetry. There are many bridges, water, old dwellings, and rows of small shops and souvenir shops on the shore. Walking around will really make you feel soothed. Tip: It is recommended to come in the evening, besides the beautiful light, not so many people, there are many choices of restaurants ~ 🗺️ Zhujia Kok Ancient Town Day Trip Strategy Inventory 1. North Avenue & Release Bridge Once you get off the bus and walk in from the entrance of the ancient town, you must go to North Avenue and Fangsheng Bridge. North Avenue is lined with shops, not only with various authentic specialty points (such as water town cakes, urchin roast goose), but also handmade boutiques and nostalgic bookstores. The Release Life Bridge is the most representative photo spot in Zhujia Kok. It stands facing the wind at sunset, and the screen is beyond the film. 2. Lesson Botanical Garden Road—Old Taste Food If you are looking for authentic snacks, there are many old shops on both sides of Kezhiyuan Road, as well as hipster coffee houses. We recommend soy milk fried dough sticks and glutinous rice dumplings, which are affordable. When you are tired from walking, you can sit back by the ditch and drink tea and feel the real slow life. 3. Riverside Shop Tour Strolling along the riverbank, you can find many local artist shops selling handmade jewelry and puppets, as well as several handwritten postcard shops. Suitable for slow strolling, taking photos, taking pictures. 4. Ancient town at night If you have enough time, it is recommended to stay until the sky starts to get dark, the lanterns are lit, and the awning boats on the river come and go. The atmosphere of the ancient town will be completely different. Many shops close around 8pm, so we recommend arranging meals early. 📍Scenic Spot Information: Address: No. 555, Kezhiyuan Road, Zhujiajiao Town, Qingpu District, Shanghai Business Hours: 08:30 - 17:00 (Open year-round) 📝Tips: - Early arrival on weekends or festivals is recommended to avoid crowds. - There are many stone roads in the ancient town, remember to wear comfortable shoes. - Come in the evening, less people, suitable for check-in, the view will be more beautiful. - It is recommended to exchange some cash on site, some small shops do not support electronic payment. - The restaurant focuses on local dishes, trying Jiangnan snacks such as green doughnuts and water chestnut cakes. 🚗Transportation Tips: In the city, you can take the metro to Zhujiajiao Station (Line 17), exit the station and walk or take a shared bicycle/bus to the entrance of the ancient town.
