The Shikumen architectural style, red bricks, and black doors—every detail exudes the elegance of old Shanghai. 🍵 Check-in Experience, Full of Details When I checked in, the hotel’s cultural tourism concierge accompanied me the whole way, giving a very detailed introduction from the lobby to the room. I stayed in the Shikumen Garden Villa, and as soon as I entered, there was a small courtyard. Opening the courtyard door felt like stepping back into Shanghai’s golden era. The room was full of surprises, like the welcome fruit already arranged and a handwritten welcome letter, which felt very thoughtful. What touched me the most was that the charging cables I had used before were neatly organized by the staff—such attention to detail really moved me. 🍽️ Culinary Experience, A Feast for the Taste Buds The hotel’s restaurant is also amazing! I had breakfast at the Michelin one-star Le Comptoir de Pierre Gagnaire, and the taste was simply incredible. They offer both Chinese and Western dishes, each one as exquisite as a work of art. Xintiandi is not far from the hotel, with lots of great food and fun activities. There’s also Tianzifang, another famous spot in Shanghai, just a short walk away.
