This hotel in Shanghai is really too comfortable to stay at!

▶Hotel established: Opened in 2007 🕐 Check-in time: February 3, 2025 💰 Price: 15,000 Trip Coins, room type upgraded from a basic room to a supreme suite🎉. 📍 The hotel is located in Pudong, surrounded by many shopping malls, with the Four Points by Sheraton just a few steps away. The overall style of this hotel perfectly matches Sheraton’s "old money" vibe, very similar to the Waigaoqiao Sheraton, and the suites are very generous in size🏨. The hotel consists of two buildings, one for the hotel and one for apartments. Upon entering, the staff helped with the luggage🧳 and delivered it to the room, a service that is indeed rare nowadays👏. 1⃣ Transportation 🚇 Tangqiao Metro Station on Line 4 is only 320 meters away, easily reachable on foot, making transportation very convenient👣. 2⃣ Room After a phone chat, successfully upgraded to suite 3156 on the 31st floor🏠. The standalone building is cone-shaped, with room types offering views of the "Three-piece Set" and the cityscape. The suite is really large, and the most special feature is this bathtub🛁; the bathroom area is estimated to be almost as big as the bedroom plus living room. However, the TV is relatively small📺 and the picture quality is not very clear. Late check-out was extended to 4 PM, but the housekeeper came to urge check-out at 3 PM and even waited at the door, which was a bit awkward😅. Bathroom amenities were also disappointing; the shampoo and body wash were from an unknown brand🧴, and the toothbrush bristles were rough. Bottled water was just Binglu brand, showing the owner’s "frugality"💧. 3⃣ Gym & Pool 🏃 The gym and pool are on the 3rd floor, about a 5-6 minute walk from the elevator. The gym only has a few treadmills and scattered strength equipment, seemingly converted from a banquet hall, giving a somewhat eerie vibe😳. The pool, however, is standard and very clean🏊. 4⃣ Surroundings & Attractions There are Paris Spring and several shopping malls near the hotel, making life very convenient and lively🛍️. 5⃣ Lounge & Breakfast The lounge is on the 37th floor; the food is ordinary but filling, and the desserts are generous but always seem to be made with plant-based cream🍰. Many middle-aged and older guests watch TV loudly in the lounge, and the chairs are worn out, making the atmosphere a bit noisy📺. However, the highlight of the lounge is the unique city skyline🌆, and around 6 PM you can see the "Three-piece Set" lighting ceremony, which is a plus✨. Breakfast is on the 2nd floor, very ordinary and nothing special. There weren’t many people, but the quality of the food was questionable, with tiny kumquats and tasteless ginseng fruit🍊. ➡ Summary This Sheraton Youyou Grand Hotel still maintains the "old money" style overall, but the details seem a bit overwhelmed. Although the suites are generously sized each time, from the architectural style to service details, it gives the impression of "once glorious, now barely holding on"💼. If you haven’t stayed in a suite before, you can come and experience it, but don’t have too high expectations😅.
