Stayed at this hotel in Shanghai for five days

Shanghai Jing’an InterContinental Hotel Experience: The Quality Commitment of a Classic Hotel Recently, I stayed at the Shanghai Jing’an InterContinental Hotel, formerly known as the Shanghai Puxi Hotel, which opened in 2009. It is located next to the Shanghai New Railway Station in Jing’an District (formerly called the Old North Station), with an extremely advantageous location. In the past, when transportation was less developed, hotels around the New Railway Station, regardless of star rating, were all very prosperous. This five-star hotel was considered quite upscale at the time. 🛏️ Soundproofing / Cleanliness: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 The hotel is close to the train station, but the room’s soundproofing is excellent, allowing for a very good night’s sleep. The room’s cleanliness is impeccable, with no areas left unclean, very tidy. 🏘️ Room Type / Layout: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 The room is spacious and well laid out, without the outdated hardware issues mentioned online. Regarding the hotel’s age, I think guests should be aware before checking in, as it is not a newly built hotel. 🛌 Amenities / Facilities: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 The mattress is from Serta, very comfortable. The room is equipped with two medium-height down pillows, which are not very resilient, but the housekeeping department provides latex pillows, which is very considerate for those with shoulder and neck issues. Afternoon tea and happy hour are held in the same area, which used to be a restaurant and now serves as the executive lounge. The afternoon tea desserts are well made, moderately sweet, and although the variety is limited, the taste is good. The hot dishes and bar snacks during happy hour are delicious, with a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, and the staff enthusiastically prepare cocktails. The hotel’s breakfast restaurant is large with many seats, offering a wide variety of dishes with average taste. 💗 Other Tips: The hotel staff are warm and attentive, providing very comfortable service. The surrounding area is lively with diverse entertainment and leisure options. The only minor drawback is that the gym is in another building, which might be inconvenient if time is limited. Overall, this hotel has a prime location, comfortable environment, and thoughtful service, making it a trustworthy choice for a stay.
