I stayed at this hotel for five days during my five-day trip to Shanghai.

InterContinental Shanghai Jing'an Hotel Experience: A time-honored hotel's commitment to quality I recently checked in to the InterContinental Shanghai Jing'an. Formerly known as the Shanghai Puxi Hotel, it opened in 2009 and is located next to Shanghai New Railway Station (formerly known as the Old North Station) in Jing'an District, a prime location. In the past, when transportation was less developed, hotels around the New Railway Station, regardless of their star rating, were always bustling with business. This five-star hotel was considered quite high-end at the time. 🛏️ Soundproofing/Cleanliness: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 The hotel is close to the train station, but the soundproofing in the rooms is excellent. I slept very soundly at night. The rooms were spotless, with no areas left unclean. 🏘️ Room Type/Layout: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 The room was spacious and well-designed, without the outdated hardware issues mentioned online. I think guests should be aware of the hotel's age before checking in, as it's not a newly built hotel. 🛌 Amenities/Facilities: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 The mattress is a Slumberland, and it's very comfortable. The room is equipped with two medium-height goose down pillows, which don't have much rebound, but the housekeeping department provides latex pillows, which is thoughtful for those with neck and shoulder problems. Afternoon tea and happy hour are served in the same area, which used to be a restaurant and now serves as the executive lounge. The afternoon tea pastries are well-made, not too sweet, and although the selection isn't extensive, everything tastes good. The hot dishes and snacks at happy hour are delicious, there's a wide variety of alcoholic beverages, and the staff are happy to mix cocktails. The hotel's breakfast restaurant is large, with plenty of seating, a wide variety of food, and decent taste. 💗 Other tips: The hotel staff are friendly, proactive, and attentive, making you feel very comfortable. The surrounding area is lively, with plenty of entertainment and leisure options. The only minor drawback is that the gym is in another building, which might be inconvenient if you're short on time. Overall, this is a hotel with a great location, comfortable environment, and attentive service, making it a reliable choice for your stay.
