Shanghai Binjiang Forest Park

Binjiang Forest Park, you're now my favorite park in Shanghai! Everything about it exceeded my expectations! It's the perfect place for a budget-friendly weekend getaway. Come experience the "20-minute park effect"! Transportation: Take Line 10 of the subway to Shuangjiang Road. Then, take a taxi to the entrance of Binjiang Forest Park or take the Waigaoqiao No. 1 bus (runs every 1.5 hours, so it can be a long wait). Parking: There are plenty of parking spaces at the entrance of the park, and you can also park on the roadside. Opening hours: 8:00–17:00 Tickets: Free Recommended visit duration: 5 hrs Recommended items to bring: Picnic blanket, frisbee, snacks and fruit, camera Crowd levels: I practically had the place to myself on a Friday afternoon! I hear it gets a bit more crowded on weekends. Recommended picnic spots: The grassy area between the south and east ecological forest roads. It's sunny and has a huge lawn, perfect for photos! Food and drinks: I recommend bringing your own, as there's no food delivery nearby! Recommended route: For your first visit, just explore Phase 1! Enter through the Phase 1 entrance and walk straight along Yingbin Avenue, enjoying the scenery on both sides. At the end of the road, you can see the sea. Then, loop back around to the entrance, either to the left or right. If you just want to see the sea, just walk straight to the end! Rides and attractions: Pirate ship (¥15/person), bumper cars, forest train (¥25/person), jungle coaster, etc. Restrooms: The restrooms are the cleanest I've seen in any park. I give them a 100/100!
