A consistently affordable downtown hotel in Shanghai… I'll always stay here!!

Exploring InterContinental Shanghai NECC, the ideal choice for business trips I recently experienced the "InterContinental Shanghai NECC" located within the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai, and the overall feeling was quite unique. 🧹Soundproofing/Hygiene: During this stay, due to the large number of guests, the housekeeping wasn't very timely. I had to contact the service staff multiple times, and the cleaning wasn't the best, perhaps because the staff were simply too busy. However, during normal periods, the hotel's hygiene maintenance is quite good. The rooms and public areas are kept clean and tidy, and the soundproofing is adequate to meet basic needs, providing guests with a relatively quiet resting environment. 🏘️️️Room Type/Layout: The hotel is directly connected to the NECC and is located next to the Hongqiao transportation hub, making its location extremely advantageous. It's incredibly convenient for those coming to Shanghai for conferences, exhibitions, or business trips. I stayed in a Superior Suite, and the room felt very spacious with a reasonable layout. The Deluxe Suites use a lot of solid wood in their wall design, which deepens the overall color tone of the space, giving it a rich texture and a heightened sense of luxury. The floor, like the living room, uses a large area of wooden flooring paired with small area rugs, creating a stylish look. 🛌Amenities/Facilities: The public areas continue the grand style of the exterior with a more refined design. The main color is gold, and elements like the metal backdrop behind the front desk create a subtle sense of luxury. The ubiquitous four-leaf clover elements throughout the hotel are quite unique. Although the surrounding amenities aren't particularly abundant, with the commercial district about 2 km away, the hotel's own facilities can basically meet the needs of guests. 💗Other tips: The hotel beds are on the softer side, so those who are used to sleeping on firm beds might experience some back pain. The breakfast selection isn't very extensive, and the taste is average. However, during the exhibition's off-season, there are fewer guests, and the hotel staff's enthusiastic service leaves a deep impression. The package deal that moves the Executive Lounge to the lobby bar and the cuisine at Cai Feng Lou are both worth trying. Also, during the auto show, road closures are extensive, leading to traffic jams, so plan your travel time in advance.
