Shanghai City Walk | Jin Family Ancestral Hall Hidden on Minhang Old Street

There is an old house not far from home in Minhang, the Jin Family Ancestral Hall. I decided to visit it on a weekend city walk. It is a niche attraction. Apart from the administrator, there were only me and my child (and a cat sleeping inside). - The Jin Family Ancestral Hall is a traditional courtyard with three entrances and five rooms. It was opened to the public in June 2020 after renovation. It was formerly the Jin Family Charity House. The existing building was built in 1918 and is an immovable cultural relic registered in Minhang District. In addition, there are the former residences of Gu Yan and Jin Qingzhang on the short old street of Hexiang Bridge. There is also a beautiful brick-carved gatehouse in the old Jin Family house, but it is surrounded by construction fences.
