Zhujiajiao City God Temple

🌟Highlights: Zhujiajiao City God Temple is the City God Temple of Qingpu, located in Zhujiajiao Town. It was originally located in Xuejiabang in the south of the town. In 1763, Cheng Luji from Huizhou moved it to its current location. The City God is one of the most important deities in ancient Chinese folk religion, and is usually a famous minister or hero who has made great contributions to the local people. The City God is the guardian of the city in Chinese religion and Taoism. ❤Architectural features The temple has a front gate, a stage, and a main hall in the middle, and two corridors on both sides. On the left are Yinqing Hall, Xichun Stage, a rockery and square pool, Meiting Pavilion, Yuzhao Corridor, and Yuexiang Room. On the right are Ninghe Study, Hejing Mountain House, Tanying Pavilion, Lotus Pond, Keyu Studio, Lexi Cottage, Yixiu Pavilion, Huashen Hall, Yiting Pavilion, and Hanqing Pavilion. There is a small stream beside the temple, with a small stone bridge over it. Peach, plum, and willow trees can be seen everywhere. There are many buildings with elegant layouts and 12 scenic spots. In January 1964, the rear hall and the sleeping palace were destroyed by fire. By 1985, the pavilions, rockeries, and pools were gone, but the main buildings such as the front gate, stage, two corridors, and main hall were still intact. The top of the stage is a circular top composed of 160 brackets, which is unique and very rare. There is a couplet on the stone pillars on both sides of the stage.
