Nanxiang Twin Towers

Nanxiang Twin Towers The two brick towers were built in the Northern Song Dynasty, destroyed by fire in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, and rebuilt on the original site in the 1980s. The Nanxiang Twin Towers are a famous landmark in Shanghai. 🛕The brick towers are modeled after wooden bracket structures, with a height of 11 meters, eight sides and seven floors, a stone base, and four doors and four straight windows on each side of the tower body. The railings, eaves, and brackets are all carved from blue bricks. The octagonal top is composed of a wheel, a pole, and a bead. The Nanxiang Twin Towers, together with the surrounding old streets, ancient wells, and Buddhist temples, are witnesses to the history of Nanxiang Ancient Town.
