On the evening of November 25, 2024, the InterContinental Shanghai Pudong, the first five-star hotel in Pudong and the first luxury brand hotel of the InterContinental Hotels Group in Greater China, held a grand Christmas lighting ceremony in the hotel's art deco and modern atrium on the third floor. Nearly 150 guests gathered in Gatsby costumes to immerse themselves in the warm, wonderful, and festive Christmas atmosphere. At the ceremony, guests gathered around a 12-meter-tall Christmas tree and cheered as the tree was lit to the joyful carols of the Wellington College International Shanghai Choir. Santa Claus made a surprise appearance in the glass elevator, kicking off the festive season. Students and volunteers from the Shanghai Sunrise charity organization put on a wonderful magic show and piano performance, and the charity bear sale added love and warmth to the Christmas atmosphere.
