Check in at the Shipyard Riverside Green Space: A blend of aura.

(14th in the "Check in Shanghai" series.) On the weekend, I went to Shangyue Bay Square in Lujiazui and took a stroll by the Huangpu River. In a few minutes, I arrived at the Shipyard Riverside Green Space. The shipyard refers to the Shanghai Shipyard built in 1862. The shipyard was relocated to Changxing Island, Chongming in 2005, and the old factory area was transformed according to world-class waterfront space standards. Today, this area is composed of riverside green spaces and old buildings of Shipyard 1862. It has natural rivers, green spaces, and flowers, as well as supporting theaters, art centers, boutique retail, high-end restaurants, and themed bars. It has become a new waterfront space in Lujiazui Financial City and a good place for citizens to entertain and relax. We walked along Shangyue Street, passed through the open-air square of the old building of Shipyard 1862, and directly reached the open-view waterfront platform. This area used to be the dock of Shanghai Shipyard. Now it still retains historical relics such as cable piles, shipyards, and crane tracks, and also retains the historical mark of the leisure area on the east bank of the Huangpu River. Because it was the weekend, there were endless tourists. On the layered and orderly riverside cycling, running and walking paths, many people, according to their own preferences and rhythms, leisurely feel the aura brought by the blend of history and modernity.
