Hong Kong Road Citywalk | A disappearing old street in Shanghai.

I visited Hong Kong Road in Huangpu District today. There's really not much to see, haha. But since I've already visited and taken photos, I might as well share them. I started from the end near Jiangxi Middle Road. Hong Kong Road won't disappear, but the entire street is being redeveloped and the area is being expropriated. The walls are covered in posters saying "Expropriation compensation is lawful, you'll lose out if you think you're smart". I'm looking forward to the renovated narrow street. 🔸 Hong Kong Road is very short. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk from one end to the other. The only nice building on the street is the one at No. 59 Hong Kong Road. The dark olive green exterior is full of a sense of the times. There are four huge Roman stone pillars at the entrance. The building looks very European. There are carvings on the Roman pillars, in a classical style. At the end of the road is the Bund Source, which has been expanded and has many new shops. I'll visit again when I have the chance.
