The Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall is an exhibition hall where you can see the past, present, and future of Shanghai, which is emerging as an international city, at a glance. It is located between People's Square and the Shanghai Museum, so it is easy to plan your route and it is becoming a popular course for tourists because you can store your luggage. When you enter the lobby, you are greeted by the golden Pudong skyscrapers, a landmark of Shanghai. There are exhibits of old photos of Shanghai and audiovisual materials that give you a glimpse into the development of Shanghai. The highlight of this exhibition hall is located on the third floor. A miniature Shanghai downtown, which can be said to be the world's largest urban planning model, is on display so that you can see it at a glance. The terrain and each building are detailed, so it was fun to find the places you visited. I was surprised by the scale of Shanghai, but the scale displayed here is less than half of the actual size of Shanghai, so you can get an idea of โโthe appearance of the metropolis.
