Let me recommend a good place in Shanghai + it's kids friendly! Welcome to Shanghai Wildlife Zoo 🦒🦁🦘🐾🦅🦢 This zoo is located quite far from the city center so you need to come early to buy the ticket. Actually, you can come anytime on their working hours. However, I suggest you to come early as the area is vast and it will be sad if you only have limited time to enjoy it. Actually, I'm not a fan of zoo. However, since my friend wanted to see Red Panda, then we decided to visit a zoo in Shanghai. As someone who isn't a big fan, I must say this zoo is really good and treat their animals ethically (this is just from what I saw on that day). This zoo is quite special compared to others since they provide a program where the visitors can have short feeding session with some animals inside, and Red Panda is one on the list. Of course, you need to pay again for this. There is a package ticket for feesing session, where you can feed all the animals on the list. However, if you are aiming for feeding just one or two of them, based on what I saw, you can just walk-in and pay it to the staff. I suggest you to just walk-in since the zoo is too big and we didn't have much time to feed all the animals. For those who are interested in feeding animals, especially for famous animals such as Red Panda, I highly recommend you to come early. The feeding session starts at 12 pm, and I remembered that I had already been on the queue 1 hour before. I didn't even make it to be the first batch to come inside to feed the panda. The feeding session for Red Panda was a very quick session around 10 minutes per batch. Each batch only consists of around 10 people, and all of us get one chunk of apple to give it to the panda. There was plenty of panda inside, but some of them were just chilling and not interested to be fed while the others were going to you to get the apple. While being inside the area, please always follow the guide to make sure you and the panda are both safe. I've been on some animals feeding session such as zebra and cappybara. There, I didn't have any time limit to play and feed them. For those who interested, you can purchase the ticket on the spot or buy it via We Chat. I really think this place really suit for family trip with kids. For the adult, this place also good for you. In my opinion, the zoo is clean and no bad smell at all. You can give it a try. #shanghai #shanghaiwildanimalpark #redpanda
