Guangfulin has always been a place I wanted to visit. I originally wanted to stay at the Prime Minister's Mansion, but later I changed my mind after I learned about the Guangfulin Hilton. When bringing children, I prefer to stay in large international chains, as the services are standardized and mistakes are less likely to occur. Let me start with the conclusion: 1️⃣It is not a real family hotel. The hardware and service are not family-friendly. 2️⃣Meets Hilton standards, but does not meet most people's expectations of a five-star hotel Particularly good experiences include: 1. Good location. It is adjacent to the Guangfulin Underwater Museum. The Kitchen Buffet Restaurant, Xingyilang Café, and the lake view rooms can all face the underwater museum and are very close. 2. The bathtub is very big, like a small swimming pool, and can be connected to the living room, so it is very convenient for children to take a bath. There are many cartoons on TV. 3. The hotel swimming pool is highly utilized. There are quite a lot of people swimming in the big swimming pool. The children's hot pool next to it is nothing fancy, just simple, practical, clean and comfortable what parents want! 4. The breakfast is pretty good, the freshly made wontons are delicious. 📉 Areas that did not meet expectations include: 1. The dinner was not tasty, with few choices and average quality control. The seafood was very fishy and I had severe diarrhea after eating it... I ran to the bathroom all night and complained to the front desk the next morning. The waiter said that other guests had not reported diarrhea (meaning it was my fault), and there was no follow-up or solution after that. 2. The service is average. No one greeted us at the concierge when we entered the door. It was difficult to carry the luggage with our children, and no one came to help. If it's a big hotel, when you check in, they don't even tell you which room you're staying in or how to get to the front desk. It's really quite shocking. 3. The event schedule is non-existent and the service staff don’t even know where the event venue is. There is a Xiaoxi Water World Summer Pool in the activity list. The front desk said it is an inflatable water park. So I wanted to take my baby there to play, but I asked several waiters and they all said they didn’t know what it was. After I finally found it, I discovered that “the equipment is temporarily closed for maintenance.” 4. The children's playground is very small. It is a long way from the conference hall. It really only has three slides and a ball field. What we are saying is that if there is no children's playground, there is no need to insist that there is one. ————————— This time, the front desk upgraded me to a courtyard king room on the first floor, but later I asked to change to a basic room without a balcony on the third floor. The two room types are the same. The courtyard room is "upgraded" just because it has a small courtyard on the first floor. However, the first floor is very damp and dark, so I asked to downgrade to the original room type. In addition, the yard is very small and full of weeds, and the stream next to it is dirty and not suitable for children to play in. Again, a family-friendly hotel is not just about putting a few dolls and finding a room with some ocean balls and a slide to make it family-friendly. Whether the staff is friendly to children, whether they can see the children's needs, whether they will take the initiative to provide some help, and whether they have prepared bathrobes and toiletries for children are all very important details.
