Worth a separate mention Ruijin Intercontinental Hotel has a great location, you can walk to Sinan Mansion, and there's a theater opposite where you can watch plays. Wukang Road is also very convenient. I chose it for the convenience of work. There is a garden accessible only to hotel guests, where you can see the place where Chiang Kai-shek and Soong Mei-ling got engaged. The staff said that the Celebrity Hall is where Chen Yi reported the liberation of Shanghai to Chairman Mao over the phone. It is now a filming location for Chenghuan Ji and Fengyue, with a movie library and many vinyl records. The executive lounge exceeded expectations, filled with an old money vibe, truly a place where dignitaries from various countries stay. The presidential suite next door feels mysterious and grand. The garden has a British feel, likely designed a hundred years ago with hopes of openness and inclusivity. The breakfast is also good, with a sense of quality. There is an internet-famous garden, which is a pitfall, with a cheap plastic feel that shouldn't be here... Overall, it's good, and I would choose it again.
