Modernist Meanderings: The Collection Exhibition of the Berlin Nationalgalerie

The Berlin Nationalgalerie has carefully selected nearly a hundred masterpieces, with Shanghai and Beijing as the two stops for the exhibition tour in China. The 92 pieces are displayed in strict chronological order of their creation, all being presented in China for the first time. Following a timeline, the exhibition highlights the over 80-year span of the Nationalgalerie's collection and offers a new perspective on the works personally selected by art dealer and collector Heinz Berggruen. Centered around 135 works by Picasso, the Berggruen Collection is at the heart of the museum, which is also one of the world's leading public galleries for Picasso's art, covering his creations from the age of 16 (1897) to 90 (1972).
