Mali Cultural and Art District

The M+ Mali Cultural and Art Block is located in the southern part of Jing'an District, Shanghai. It is the former site of the Shanghai Fine Arts Paint Factory. The design continues the natural color genes of the site, subverts the scale and form of the original block, and is inspired by the three primary colors of red, yellow and blue at the former site of the paint factory. It uses a layered and progressive design to connect the entire block. In a space of 1000m, a collection experience store based on the concept of colorism was created. The first space after the entrance is the display area of ​​horse head paint, where highly personalized periscope-shaped devices are scattered around, and paint cans are placed on the rotating tray as the visual center of gravity. The rainbow arch connects the corridor space from the paint shop to the bookstore, instantly lighting up the original ordinariness, and the sense of ritual and visual impact on the walking route are overwhelming. The blue and white bookstore in the third space allows the rhythm to completely settle down. As a spiritual settlement, the deep Klein blue exudes a mysterious interface with ups and downs, and also constructs different settlement scenes.
