Shanghai‖Baoshan Temple Baoshan Temple is located in Luodian Town, Baoshan District, Shanghai, 518 Luoxi Road, adjacent to Lianqi River. Baoshan Temple was built in 1511 AD. Over the years, the temple has been built and abandoned, with only the Heavenly King Hall and the Great Hall remaining. In May 2005, Baoshan Temple was rebuilt. The temple was built in two phases. The first phase was the Baoshan Temple, a group of traditional Tang-style wooden structures, which was completed and opened to the public in January 2011. The total building area of Baoshan Temple is about 12,000 square meters, making it the largest Buddhist temple in Shanghai. The preserved Great Hall and the Heavenly King Hall are built with Tang Dynasty construction techniques, presenting the simple and magnificent charm of late Tang palace-style architecture. The construction of Baoshan Temple won the 'Luban Award' for the quality of Chinese construction engineering.
