It was formerly the Le Royal Méridien Shanghai, and the building it's in was once known as the 'tallest building in Puxi'. The lobby exudes a Tang-style elegance, with wood-grain screen elements visible everywhere, and the rooms are filled with Oriental aesthetic design. The bath amenities are from BYREDO in Europe. There's also a bakery on the first floor, a blessing for dessert lovers. The swimming pool doesn't seem to have been renovated, it's just average overall. All in all, it's worth staying at.
