Entering the "Sun Ke Villa"

✅Sun Ke Villa, located at No. 60 Panyu Road, was built in the 1930s. It is a castle-like building with Spanish and Italian Renaissance styles. The building has two floors, and currently open are the first floor and the fountain area in the outdoor garden. ✅Sun Ke Villa, as the name suggests, its owner is Sun Yat-sen’s eldest son, Sun Ke, known as the first son of the Republic of China. Sun Ke was the first mayor of Guangzhou, and later served as president of the Examination Yuan, Executive Yuan, and Legislative Yuan of the Republic of China. ✅Sun Ke Villa was designed by the Slovak-Hungarian architect Hudec and built in 1931. It is said that it was a villa designed by Hudec for himself and later sold to Sun Ke. ✅The interior decoration of Sun Ke Villa is very exquisite. The door openings and windows in the villa use pointed arches and round arch designs, which are very beautiful. Almost every room is equipped with a fireplace (even the passages beside the stairs have fireplaces). In the rooms without fireplaces, heaters are hidden under the windowsills. The corridors are lined with teak wainscots of the same color as the ground. Windows, porches, and stairs are decorated with large and small Roman rope columns, and there are Italian-style chimneys on the roof... Every detail shows the ingenuity of designer Hudec. ✅There is a secret room in the vaulted hall on the first floor. It is said that this is where Sun Ke stored important documents, and even his children were forbidden to enter this area. ✅When you step out of the lobby on the ground floor, the view in front of you suddenly opens up.
