Free New Exhibition in Magic City| Take time to slow down and feel the breath

| Take time to slow down and feel the breath. "The greater the gravity, the slower the time..." Perhaps out of a personal feeling that everything around is changing too quickly, the artist wants to slow down the movement of this world, hence the creation of the work, the 'Slow Clock' 🕙 This exhibition also integrates digital art, showcasing new paintings, sculptures, and video works by artist Chen Ruohuan. 🌟 There are two larger groups of stakes in the space. The stakes are connected to different ports, as if blood has been injected into the trees. The screen the size of a mobile phone displays the vital signs of this tree-like organism. ❤ Upon closer inspection of the stakes, some have been planted with hair, inviting viewers to feel and accommodate the weak gravity between objects, and the soft and slow state. ❤ The walls around the tree stakes also display the artist's canvas oil paintings. Some abstract, dynamic and static combinations form still frames of images that are described in a freeze-frame. 🌟 The exhibition is relatively hidden and niche, with few visitors. One person can book the entire space, looking at the exhibited tree stake specimens through the vibrant green window, feeling the current plant breath, and time can really slow down. 🌟 Exhibition: 'Slow Clock' ⏳ Date: 2023.8.4-9.16 🕙 Time: 10:00-18:00 (Tuesday to Saturday) 📍 Location: Gallery Func (No. 17, No. 19, Xinle Road, Xuhui District) 💰 Cost: Free, but reservation is required 🚉 Transportation: Shaanxi South Road Station on Subway Line 1

Speaking of 中餐 (Chinese cuisine), the most favorite I would recommend is 小笼包 (soup dumplings). As the name goes, the best thing about this dish is the soup that's inside the 包 😁 It is sort of a takeaway food, that you can just buy and carry around to eat whenever you like it. Mainly it got popular to me through the Zhejiang restaurant called 外婆家 (Grandma's kitchen). It is truly a Grandma recipe with immense taste. If you are not good in handling chopsticks, just don't stuck it with and waste the precious soup; instead just don't mind to use your hands. Another must try dish of 外婆家 is the beggar chicken. It's also cooked in the same way, with the amenities that a beggar could possibly have. A whole chicken is wrapped up in an aluminum foil and buried inside the mud, which then will be heated to end up with an extraordinary chicken you can ever have. 外婆家 has many branches in Shanghai & Hangzhou, my frequent visit is in the IAPM mall which is quite easy to find in the B1 floor. Have a taste of it people ! #tripfoodie #tripfoodieshanghai #chinesecuisine #deliciousfood #urbanexplorer#lightthecity#tripfoodie
