Shanghai's most endearing road—Maoming North Road

🎈Some roads in Shanghai have completely different atmospheres in the east-west and north-south sections, such as Urumqi South Road and North Road, and Maoming South Road and North Road. Maoming South Road has many grand Western-style old buildings, while Maoming North Road is mostly Shikumen, and the North Road is a very warm and lively road. . 🎈Lu Yongxiang's mansion on Maoming North Road (Figure 4️⃣), neoclassical style, now, strangely divided into two halves by a wall, one half as a residence, the other half, was once Jinde Women's Middle School, now is a primary school. . 🎈There are many Shikumen on Maoming North Road, a large area between Weihai Road and Nanjing West Road has now been transformed into "Fengshengli" (Figures 1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣). The Shikumen here were built from 1922 to 1927, including Zhenxingli, Rongkangli, and Deqingli. "Fengshengli" is now a fashionable and trendy place that combines dining, shopping, and exhibitions. There are also many uniquely decorated small shops on Maoming North Road. .
