| Baoguo Temple and the ancient ginkgo (442). Baoguo Temple, located on the west bank of Dianshan Lake in Zhujiajiao Town, Qingpu District, Shanghai, was originally a Guandi Temple built in the Ming Dynasty, also known as Wusheng Temple, commonly known as Guanwang Temple in the folk. Baoguo Temple is a lower court of Jade Buddha Temple in Shanghai, located on the bank of Dianshan Lake in Dianfeng Village, Zhujiajiao Town, Qingpu District, Shanghai. Baoguo Temple was originally located at Guanwang Temple, built in the 13th year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty (1640), named "Guanwang Temple" because of the worship of Guan Yu. Behind Guanwang Temple, there is an ancient ginkgo tree with a circumference of 6 meters, a height of 36.5 meters, an east-west crown diameter of 7 meters, and an age of more than 1050 years. It was planted around the Five Dynasties. It is the oldest and largest thousand-year-old ginkgo tree in Shanghai, and it is also a "witness" to the rise and fall of Guanwang Temple, and a natural navigation mark for the ships coming and going in Dianshan Lake over the long years.
