Bund Bliss: Challenges & Comfort at Mercure

The hotel, Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden on the Bund, was quite close to the South African Consulate, which was really handy for us as we had an early appointment. Despite the exterior looking different and being a bit tricky for strollers or wheelchairs due to construction, the check-in was smooth in the busy hotel. However, when we got to our room, the air conditioning wasn't working in the chilly Shanghai weather. Communicating with the reception was tough, so I had to go downstairs and use translation services. Thankfully, a technician quickly fixed the issue. Despite these hiccups, the beds were comfy, and they even provided a free crib for my daughter, making our overall stay not too bad. #Shanghai #Mercure #accommodation
