The Shanghai Meteorological Museum is located next to the Xujiahui Cathedral, a three-story Roman-style building built in 1900 - the old site of the Xujiahui Observatory. The meteorological observation data of Xujiahui is the only meteorological station in China that has been recognized by the International Astronomical Association for continuous meteorological data recording since 1872. To visit the Shanghai Meteorological Museum, you need to make an appointment one week in advance. The appointment starts at 11.00 every Monday morning, with one session each in the morning and afternoon, each with only 20 places, and each session is guided by an interpreter.
