#timetotravel July 2022 Shandan Military Horse Farm is located in Shandan County in the city of Zhangye. The place used to be a military camp and horses were bred here for the military to use in battle. Nowadays, there are only a few horses left and the farm is used as a tourist attraction. Only a few people still live in the area, but most of them have moved to the city because there are no available jobs in the area. We even found some abandoned houses that are now dilapidated and some of them have even collapsed. Price- Horseback riding -350 RMB for four hours Getting There - By car or cab about 300-400 RMB depending on traffic. Hotels- There are yurts 🛖 in the area and tourists can also stay overnight here.
