Shache in southern Xinjiang is actually very boring. If you want to take photos of internet celebrities, please don’t come.

It is said that the soul of southern Xinjiang is the ancient city of Kashgar, but more than 200 kilometers south of Kashgar, there is a very unpopular city. That was Shache, one of the thirty-six kingdoms in the Western Regions! The entire Shache is not very big. If your schedule in southern Xinjiang is tight, you can spend a day to visit it. After all, it only takes 2 hours by train from Kashgar. . Many people are attracted by the photos of the Yarkand Khanate Palace, but I personally think that they are just fake photos. Because from the site, it is a newly built venue and some places are still a bit rough. 🌈However, the two performances of Twelve Muqam every day are definitely worth watching, as this is the classical music passed down by our Uyghur compatriots. . The old town of Shache is not very big. If you want to go shopping, it is recommended to rent an electric car so that you can spend most of the day shopping comfortably. If you don’t have enough time, or just want to experience the culture, then I recommend you to come to the ancient city area, Kazanchi Street. . This street is very lively, with markets and small shops run by locals. It is also a gathering place for food. Basically all kinds of Xinjiang food can be seen, such as nanbei, lamb's head, beef and baked buns, etc. The prices are cheaper than in Kashgar. The night market is mainly held here, and compared to Kashgar, there are not so many tourists. By the way, the old teahouse where a bowl of tea costs 1 yuan is also here. . 🌈Su Biyi Grand Bazaar is the most lively place on this street! Because in addition to various food stalls, there is also a stage where locals sing the Twelve Muqams. Basically every day, they dance the Maixilaifu happily here. . At night, there will be live performances here, with professionals playing the Twelve Muqams. During the days I was in Shache, I sat in the corner and watched them dance. They also welcome tourists to interact with them, but I really can't jump. ➡️The two children in the photo are cousins, and they dance very well. I also specifically asked them at what age they started learning to dance. But they said they had never learned it, but just watched and imitated it every day, and then they could dance along. Sure enough, the dancing talent of ethnic minorities is top-notch. . Shache is actually very boring. If you want to take photos of various internet celebrities, then I don’t recommend you to come here. Because what is presented here is the daily life of the local people. Just like the locals, not too refined, but decent and clean. ▪️Although there are not as many attractions here as in Kashgar, if you like slow life and want to experience the culture of southern Xinjiang, you can go there. I really suggest that you try to come here and feel the local atmosphere...
