Gyeongbukgong Palace

Gyeongbukgong Palace is one of the palaces can be found in Seoul. This palace is located in 161 Sajik-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. This was the main royal palace during the Joseon Dynasty and was built in 1395 in northern part of Soeul, South Korea. Gyeongbokgung Palace is arguably the most beautiful, and remains the largest of all five palaces. The premises were once destroyed by fire during the Imjin War (1592-1598). However, all of the palace buildings were later restored under the leadership of Heungseondaewongun during the reign of King Gojong (1852-1919). The Changing of the Guard is one of the most anticipated events in the palace. Watch this customary rite that has been performed since the 14th century during the Joseon dynasty.
