📌 Introduction Hello! Don't you feel like going somewhere as autumn deepens? Recently, I went on a 2-day, 1-night trip with a friend around Jamsu Bridge and Yongsan Park. This area has so much to see and is a perfect healing travel course! Especially, the udon restaurant we found near Yongsan Station on the second day was amazing. Easy Accessibility Starting from the Heart of Seoul The first day's trip started at Jamsu Bridge. Jamsu Bridge connects Gangnam and Gangbuk in the center of Seoul, and it's very convenient to access by public transportation. I quickly arrived by transferring to subway lines 9 and 4! Jamsu Bridge is adjacent to Banpo Hangang Park, and there are well-prepared parking lots nearby, so those who use their cars don't have to worry. The Han River flows on both sides of the bridge, and the Banpo Bridge fountain nearby creates a completely different atmosphere from day to night. On weekends, the 'car-free bridge' concept is operated, so many people walk or ride bicycles. Although I didn't bring a bike on this trip, walking slowly was good enough. Especially, the Jamsu Bridge area has well-prepared convenience stores and public restrooms, so there was no inconvenience throughout the day. 2. First Impressions of Jamsu Bridge and Healing on It The first thing that surprised me when I stepped on Jamsu Bridge was its lower-than-expected position. Since cars weren't passing, it was filled with people! There were people leisurely spreading mats and eating snacks, and many couples walking with a cup of coffee. Looking at both riverbanks from the middle of the Han River, I felt confused for a moment whether this was really Seoul. The early morning scenery with a slight mist was beautiful, and the sky turning orange at sunset was truly spectacular. Jamsu Bridge is particularly popular with those who ride bicycles or kickboards. Since it's easy to rent them from the park side, I plan to explore by bike next time. Although people said the night atmosphere is more romantic than during the day, the rainbow fountain event of Banpo Bridge, which unfolds following the lights in the evening, is said to be the best, so keep that in mind! 3. Tips to Keep in Mind Near Jamsu Bridge There are quite a few hot spots and tips to enjoy lightly at Jamsu Bridge. First, you can have a simple meal or snack at Banpo Hangang Park nearby. There are several food trucks, so you can solve various food cravings like chicken, hot dogs, and cup noodles on the spot. Second, the rental system is well operated. When I went, there were many shared electric kickboards near Banpo Bridge, making it more convenient to move around. Third, the river breeze can get chilly in the late evening, so be sure to bring an outer garment. Fourth, check the event schedule of Jamsu Bridge in advance! Since the fountain show times vary, you need to match the time diligently to see it. Lastly, if you don't like noise, as there are many people on weekend evenings, I recommend visiting during quieter sunset or weekday mornings. 4. Exploring Yongsan Park and Near Yongsan Station on the Second Day The next morning, I headed to Yongsan Park. Recently opened, Yongsan Park is perfect for feeling nature in the city. The long trail from the entrance felt really peaceful, and the benches installed here and there were great for resting and enjoying the scenery. The biggest advantage of this park is the vast lawn, and many families were having picnics, creating a joyful atmosphere. I enjoyed the view of Seoul's cityscape from the observatory at the end of the park, and seeing the Han River and Namsan Tower at a glance was very refreshing. Laying a mat under the shade of a tree and lying down for a while was truly healing. As lunchtime approached, I set out to find a famous udon restaurant near Yongsan Station! 5. A Heartwarming Lunch at a Hidden Gem I was recommended a famous udon restaurant near Yongsan Station. The broth here was really unique. It wasn't the light broth you usually have, but it had a deep flavor with just the right seasoning, making it truly savory. The noodles were also chewy, and the moment I took a bite, I felt all the travel fatigue melt away! The price was reasonable, and the atmosphere was clean, making it suitable for both solo diners and groups. A tip is that there might be a wait during peak hours, so it’s better to go a little past noon. ✅ Conclusion Jamsu Bridge and Yongsan Park were perfect courses to feel both nature and the city in the heart of Seoul. The walk on Jamsu Bridge and the healing from the Banpo Bridge fountain show were great, and the leisure at Yongsan Park was definitely worth experiencing. Although there were some regrets, they can be sufficiently compensated for with good planning. Especially, the udon restaurant I visited on the second day was the highlight of this trip.
