Extremely Instagramable Buddhist Temple in Downtown of Seoul

Jogyesa Buddhist Temple is extremely vibrant and beautiful place to visit while strolling around Seoul downtown. It is an active temple, so please be respectful to people who came to pray. Complex consists of many buildings and lots of outdoor statues and garden arrangements. There are so many beautiful details - you can easily take lots of beautiful pictures. People are very friendly, vibe is very tranquil. #travelgram #100waysoftravel #southkorea #seoul

Jogyesa Temple

The Jogyesa Temple (the center of Korean Buddhism) is the main and the head temple of the Jogye order, in Seoul. Built in the 14th century, it opens its doors for visitors all year round (located two blocks away from Jonggak Station). Celebrations for Buddha’s Birthday together with the annual lantern festival are held in this temple. If you visit Korea during April/May, you could join this celebration practically at any Buddhist Temple in the country. #GiveThanks
