Aloft is a modern and stylish hotel located in the vibrant Myeongdong district of Seoul, opposite the Hanjin headquarters (the parent company of Korean Air). The entrance and lobby of the hotel are thinner than expected, and the entrance is full of private cars. However, when checking in, I could feel the warm welcome from the guy at the front desk. It may be because the elevators are relatively thin, but they did not take the initiative to help with luggage. Although the room is small, the design is exquisite, colorful and well-equipped. The view of the room is facing Myeongdong Street, and you can see a little bit of Lotte Department Store. I particularly like the design of the table next to the glass window in the room. I can watch it when eating and resting. On this busy street, people are coming and going, and I feel like I have found some peace in the busyness (of course, the premise is to close the windows, otherwise the noise will be very loud). You can see Shinsegae Department Store on the other side of the floor corridor, and the night view is very beautiful. The hotel's breakfast buffet is also very rich, and the food quality is very good, including Korean and Western food, but the seats lack privacy. A big problem with the room is that the air conditioner can only be turned up high, not down (just the opposite of Marriott's other Four Points by Sheraton in Seoul Station). At that time, there were snowflakes falling outside, but it was a bit stuffy inside. It was too cold with the windows open, but too hot without them. We were in a dilemma. In addition, because there is no window in the bathroom, there is no air circulation, and it seems that the exhaust fan is not working (they checked and said there is no problem). Because there were so many people on Christmas Eve, the road leading to the hotel was only one-way. Finally, you have to go around the other side to get back to the hotel. When checking out, because it was close to Christmas, the hotel staff enthusiastically provided popcorn to the guests, which added to the overall experience.
