Borong Bakery

Borong Bakery is located in Goseong-ri, just about a 5-minute drive from Seongsan Ilchulbong in Jeju. This long-established bakery in Seongsan, Jeju, operates daily from 8 AM to 10 PM, making it a great spot to visit early in the morning. Although there is no dedicated parking lot, you can park on the road in front of the store for about 15–20 minutes. Next to the entrance, you’ll find steamed buns filled with red bean paste and black sesame, along with egg toast and cream cheese honey bread. If you’re staying at a hotel or accommodation in the eastern part of Jeju near Seongsan, this bakery is a perfect place to enjoy breakfast or brunch. Near the coffee machine, where you can brew coffee for free, there are various treats like Gongkal bread, stick pies, horseshoe pies, Nunettine, condensed milk pies, and Hallabong pies. On the wall, you’ll also notice a signed autograph from Girls’ Generation’s Yuri, which catches the eye. Borong Bakery, a famous bakery in Jeju, offers a wide variety of baked goods, including baguettes, pies, croissants, salted bread, pound cakes, pastries, cornbread, corn sticks, muffins, castella, addictive bread, chive bread, bagels, hotteok, ham and cheese bread, melon bread, mocha bread, and more. Among the bakeries I’ve visited recently, this one has the most extensive selection, making it hard to decide what to try.
