Akita, Japan - A great place for a picnic: Baofan Valley

The valley trails along the mountains and rivers have phytoncides and forest bathing, as well as suspension bridges and waterfalls, and shrines to visit. It is very suitable for a walk. From early October to early November, it is the autumn leaf season in the Kakufu Valley. During the event, there are shuttle bus services from Kakunodate Station and Tazawako Station, as well as valley walks, performances, vendors, etc. This time it happened to be the end of the autumn leaf season, and we could still feel a large number of local people coming to the Baofan Valley for an outing. The Baofan Valley gave me the feeling that it was a bit like the Shakadang Sermon in Taroko.
