Semarang Old City

If you love old buildings and something like that, then you must visit this Semarang old town. I must say that Semarang old town is one of the recommended places when you visit Semarang. In this old town, you can see, among other things, Gereja Blendoek, cafes, good restaurants, etc. You may find many buildings with their European architecture. During the Dutch colonial era, The city of Semarang was mainly divided into three area; the Chinese camp, the inlander (or the native Indonesian) and the European area. There are many photography groups who gathered in this area and took photos of buildings, streets, people and so on. I love this area and looking forward to seeing how it will be developped in the future. Lastly, you may consider taking becak (traditional transportation) to go around this old city, particularly in the late afternoon. It is nice and quite cheap! #besttrip #urbanexplorer #summerdays

Ungaran Mountain has the height of approximately 2050 meters. Even though it is a kind of volcano, there is no sign of volcanic activity there. Thus, everyone is allowed to explore the mountain freely. Not to mention, it has become the home of tons of natural and historical attractions including the famous Gedong Songo Temple. For the information, the mountain comes with 3 fabulous peaks! The tallest one is indeed Ungaran Peak. The others are Botak and Gendol Peak, which are also suitable for trekking. As for the forest, the mountain has several majestic references especially Montane Forest (which is considered the most famous one). Many people also come to Ungaran Mountain to enjoy trekking and camping. As for the best camping ground, it is called Mawar Camp (which is also the trekking checkpoint). In the morning, the sunrise shines beautifully! While at night, sparkling lights of nearby buildings look so fabulous! It is definitely a complete site to enjoy an adventure and exploration, isn’t it? #summervacation#hikingtrails#urbanexplorer

Umbul Sidomukti. The most popular allure is definitely the 4-leveled pools on where kids and adults can play water and enjoy swimming. Also, the site offers numerous facilities and rides including a camping ground, meeting room, outbound training, eateries, and much more! No wonder, lots of local families and outsiders often come to the site during weekends and long holidays. It is considered a perfect family recreation spot, after all. The most impressive fact is that the site resides in 1200 meters above the sea level. It is surrounded by big trees and features cold atmosphere of the mountain, as well. It is true visitors should pay the entry fee in order to explore Umbul Sidomukti. In fact, the price goes up if they come during holidays or weekends. Have no worries. It is going to be a worthy expense. For the information, it costs more money to enjoy each facility and ride offered by the management. #summervacation#hikingtrails#urbanexplorer

Semirang Waterfall resides in the slope of Ungaran Mountain (located in the north part of it). That means you should undergo a short trekking in order to get to the site. It indeed takes some time, but it is worth the effort. In terms of size, the waterfall has the height of 45 meters and it resides on an area of 10 hectares. One thing, the landscape is slippery sometimes, especially in the rainy season. Therefore, everyone should wear comfy footwear and walk carefully while heading to the location. Another important consideration is related to the budget. It does cost some money to pay the entrance fee, after all. For those who don’t want to get wet, though, they can simply sit on the stones and watch the panorama comfortably. As an alternative, they can sit on the available benches built by the locals. #summervacation#hikingtrails#urbanexplorer
