I asked my cousin in Sekinchan for recommendations, and she suggested a small food court in Pasir Panjang near Masjid Jamek Pasir Panjang. Even though I had to do a U-turn since I was coming from Ipoh, I didn’t mind at all—it was worth it for a quiet, stress-free meal. When I arrived, the parking lot wasn’t full, but there were a few customers already enjoying their food. What stood out to me about this food court was the unique atmosphere. Instead of each hawker just focusing on their own stall, everyone was genuinely supportive of each other, helping to promote other stalls. Even the workers from different food shops would encourage customers to try other options—such a nice touch! I decided to try the claypot nasi, and I was pleasantly surprised by the huge portion size. The taste was fantastic, and as you can see from the clean plate, I really enjoyed it. My daughter, who’s a picky eater, was also impressed. I ordered her a chicken chop with plain rice, and to my surprise, she actually liked it (she’s usually very picky about chicken chop and only eats fried chicken). That’s a win in my book! I’ll definitely be back the next time I pass through this area. It’s a great spot for a peaceful meal with delicious food, and I’m happy I discovered it!
