Up close with Sekinchan paddy fields

I went on 7 December and the paddy fields were ready to be harvested. I managed to capture the beautiful golden yellow paddies before a combine harvester came. The unique concrete looking building in the middle of the fields is Hay! cafe, opened since 2022. It serves rice, pasta, coffee and cakes. It is closed on Monday, opening hours: Weekday 9am to 4 30pm Weekend 9am to 6.30pm A very cosy place to cool off and grab a bite. We went to the Paddy Gallery and saw how they measured truck loads of harvested rice. There was a pile of it on the ground too.
