Summer in Fukuoka

Day 1: Nanzoin Temple Take the train from Hakata Station to Kidonanzoin-mae, then walk a little further. The temple grounds are very shady and peaceful. There is an entrance fee. On the way up to pay respects, the view is beautiful, but the weather is a bit hot. There is a belief that if you rub the Buddha's feet, it will enhance your intelligence ✨ As for me, I went to pray to win the lottery instead—I’m not interested in intelligence. Day 2: Yufuin - Kirin Lake For this trip, we rented a car through the Trip app, splitting the cost with friends, which was cheaper than taking the train or buying a JR Pass. Unless someone wants to enjoy the scenic Yufuin train line, which is definitely worth the price. The travel time is about 1.5 hours to reach Yufuin Floral Village. The village itself doesn’t have much, but the atmosphere and food around are amazing. Since you’re here, don’t forget to line up and buy I am Donut. It’s guaranteed to be worth the wait. A recommended food to try when you arrive is Mentaiko, their famous specialty ~ Don’t forget to give it a try!
