Majestic Buddha statue

#japantrip #fukuoka This is the Nanzoin situated in Fukuoka prefecture, Kyushu region. It is a half an hour train ride from Hakata station to Kido-nanzoin mae station and it is covered by JR pass. The Buddha statue stands within the mountains and it looks stunning. It is only a short hike up and suitable for all ages. But be aware to not wear sleeveless shirts and trousers/skirts have to be below your knees. Unfortunately tattoos also have to be covered. The view there is beautiful and the air is really fresh.
