Theater and Aqueduct

Aspendos is famous for having the best preserved Roman theater not only in Anatolia but also in the entire Mediterranean world, it is located in the village of Belkis in the Serik district of Antalya province, about 50 kilometers an hour drive from Antalya city. It is open daily from 0830-1730. This theater was built between 161-180, which had two floors with a seating capacity of 9000 people. There are ionic columns on the lower floor and Corinthian columns on the upper floor. All the construction has been made according to the design used in all Greek and Roman structures. This open air theater hosts concerts for a wide range of genres. About 1.8 kilometers 5 minutes drive, you will discover a unique 19 kilometers long Roman Aqueduct.
